So I’ve started posting on my first blog again. I’m hoping it will be a nice space to post random musings. It was started as a wellness/herbalism/natural food blog, but it, like everything, evolves. Check it out: Wild, Not Wise.
Also, I’ve been flirting more in earnest with calorie restriction with optimal nutrition and keeping a daily blog about it. Posting calorie counts, relevant nutrients, and weekly averages, as well as yoga-and-CRON-related musings (for some reason these two keep connecting in my head): Spartan Yogi.
I’m thinking about keeping the Friday Five, keeping the posts about body image and exercise, keeping the reviews of beauty products, but dropping other topics, like recipes, in favor of posting them on the other blogs. So check out Wild, Not Wise for a Sunday recipe. And I’ll probably chronicle my yoga streak further at Spartan Yogi. This blog was an experiment, and I think maybe I need to return to my roots (Wild, Not Wise) more than I need to branch out.
So I realize that I’ve been missing for a week, and I don’t even have as exciting an excuse as a conference to explain it. Last Tuesday, I developed a nasty stomach flu and was down for the count for a few days. Then, just as I was feeling better, I had to start preparing for a party I was throwing on Saturday night. Yikes! And yesterday, I just took a little time to myself.
My yoga streak is still going strong. Even when I was sick, I was able to do at least a little bit of gentle yoga. Yesterday, I had my second Bikram yoga class. I’m still undecided on what I think of it. I think I like flow better, but there aren’t any convenient flow centers. We shall see.
Today, I’m getting back into my exercise routine, heading to the weight room this morning. I basically quit everything except yoga while I was sick. I also owe my readers a post about how I eat, since I made a reference to it in my last recipe post. So much to do!
Every evening, I remove my eye makeup with oil and wash my face, so that when I wake, I have a clean, fresh canvas to inspire my day. This blog post is like that evening cleansing ritual, which will lead into a new day, where I can share my own inspiration for leading a healthy beautiful life. Thank you for visiting my blog, and I hope you will return to see where I take it.
